Vintage Navajo squash blossom necklace with Bisbee turquoise showing a lot of 'chocolate' brown matrix. The Bisbee mine opened in the 1870's and closed around 1975. The turquoise from Bisbee is highly valued due its rarity and unique composition which makes it very strong and perfect for use in jewelry. It is believed to have powerful healing properties. The sterling silver beads are handmade.
