During the 1940's when miners were discouraged from bringing out turquoise while mining copper, silversmiths turned to this beautiful stone, petrified wood. It comes in a myriad of colors and often looks like a lovely landscape painting! Bracelet shown here, Navajo made, circa 1940's in sterling silver. Unsigned. There is a small but well done repair inside the bracelet, almost invisible to the eye.
