Vintage sterling silver owl pin created in the Dean Kirk Trading Post near Manuelito New Mexico in the 1940's. The UITA or United Indian Traders Association had a membership that extended over seven Southwestern States. It created a code of standards which also guaranteed authenticity. UITA 22 was the membership number for the Dean Kirk Trading Post. Occasionally the artist also signed. This handsome owl standing on a branch is both charming and dignified. Timeless in its design and beauty.
